Summer Co-Hort – Culturally and Linguistically Inclusive Schools
The aim of “Culturally and Linguistically Inclusive Schools” is to equip school community members with a conceptual framework, and practical strategies, to support newcomers and Multilingual Language Learners (MLLs) in culturally and linguistically responsive learning environments.
Participants will enhance their understanding of the multi-faceted nature of culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms, and what it means to be inclusive in these diverse environments.
This course takes place outside of school hours (on your own time) and emphasizes the experiences of New Brunswick students, parents and staff. Over approximately 2 1/2 months, participants will complete online learning modules asynchronously and discuss learning with colleagues from across the province in asynchronous discussion forums, all led by an experienced teacher leader.
