Supporting Language Learners in Content Classrooms
This module explores how second and additional language acquisition theories, principles, and pedagogical approaches can support effective teaching and learning in linguistically and culturally diverse content-area classrooms. Inspired by a collaborative professional learning session with educational leaders from the Department of Education and school districts across the province, it equips educators with practical strategies to support language learners in both English and French learning environments while fostering language development alongside academic success.

A Successful Immersion Program
This voluntary asynchronous module is designed for both educational leaders and classroom educators in French Immersion settings.
Participants explore New Brunswick’s FI program, practical strategies, and research-supported resources to support FI learners, families, and educators.
Educational leaders who complete the module will receive a completion badge.
French Language Opportunities Reaching All: FLORA
This module provides participants an overview of the FLORA kit and how it can support K-4 FSL learning in New Brunswick schools.
This course is designed to support educators in implementing FLORA 2.0 within their own teaching context by:
- introducing the purpose and structure of FLORA 2.0;
- exploring how FLORA supports oral communication in French;
- highlighting connections to classroom instruction and student engagement;
- supporting educators in navigating FLORA resources; and
- encouraging reflection on how FLORA can be implemented to support learners from Kindergarten to Grade 4.
