Join Greg Reardon and Crystal Roberts on a quick dive into the newly launched OL resources for NB teachers! The Risk Guidelines will support educators in assessing, negotiating, and mitigating the risks involved in learning outdoors both on and off school grounds. With time to look at Risk Benefit Assessment examples and to discuss why risk is important to learning, we will give tips and tricks to navigating sticky conversations and situations in OL.

Co-author of the document, Greg Reardon’s Outdoor Learning experience spans 25 years, taking learning outdoors in The Northwest Territories, England, Scotland, and New Brunswick which he now calls home. As a Forest School Canada practitioner who earned his master’s in OL this past summer, Greg looks forward to sharing and learning more about ways to connect curriculum with the natural world.
