Overview
Students often carry hidden stress or trauma that can impact how they learn and behave. This session examines how distress impacts the brain and how nurturing, consistent relationships in schools can foster healing and resilience. School personnel (teachers, EA’s, bus drivers, custodians, and support staff) play a vital role—not as therapists, but as trusted adults who create safe, responsive environments where all students can thrive. Together, we’ll explore simple, powerful ways staff can make a lasting difference through connection, understanding, and everyday interactions.
